Welcome Dr. Broustovetskaia

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Alexandra Broustovetskaia, Ph.D. to our team at Breyta. “Dr. B” or "Sasha," as she is known to colleagues and clients, is a licensed counseling psychologist who specializes in treating a wide range of psychological problems.

She is highly skilled in working with young adults, individuals navigating career and life transitions, those experiencing grief and loss, clients who struggle with low self-confidence, and assisting clients with identity exploration within the context of cultural or relationship changes.  She also has a wealth of experience in dealing with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma, family-of-origin, and relationship issues. Dr. Broustovetskaia has garnered experience in varied clinical settings and is skilled in both psychotherapy and assessment. 

Dr. Broustovetskaia received her doctorate in counseling psychology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of New Hampshire. She has since held a supervisory and training role at the Emmanuel College Counseling Center in Boston, MA.

Evidence-Based Psychotherapy

She has a strong background in evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. She employs an integrative approach and takes care to tailor evidence-based skills and techniques to meet her clients' needs. She is particularly skilled in helping clients develop a sense of self-compassion and resiliency.

Help for College Students and Professionals

Dr. Broustovetskaia has specialized training in helping clients who are navigating the transition to college, or coping with professional stress and uncertainty. She is highly trained in career assessment and counseling. Dr. Broustovetskaia excels in assisting clients who are deciding on a career path for the first time, struggling with low professional confidence, considering making a job change, coping with loss of employment, or adding a second career.
