Detailed Job Description:
We specialize in the treatment of PTSD and trauma-related disorders, as well as associated symptoms of trauma (e.g., insomnia, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, burnout).
Our mission is to acknowledge the relative impact of trauma on the individual and society, and work to heal its effects. We strive to provide evidence-based care to our clients, educational opportunities to providers and the community, and to increase awareness of trauma-related mental health issues. By balancing clinical intervention with compassion and connection, our goal is to create a unique fusion of heart and science that is grounded in a model which acknowledges the impact of trauma on human life and relationships. Our values of trauma-informed care, evidence-based practice, teamwork, advocacy, empowerment, and self-care are emphasized in every aspect of our practice.
This position is for a full-time W-2 employee. The position is fully remote at this time though there may be potential for use of some office space for in-person appointments constituting a small portion of the overall caseload (otherwise telehealth) if this is of interest.
Our ideal candidate is dedicated, motivated, works well in a team environment, and has excellent communication skills. The culture at Breyta is warm, positive, and supportive. We strongly emphasize work-life balance and self-care. We acknowledge self-care as an ethical imperative and an integral aspect of our profession. We hold regular team-building and social events. Our team is close-knit and feels like a family. We love working, laughing, consulting, and learning together. We are unique in that we offer the stability and benefits of being an employee with the freedom of our clinicians to design their own schedules and caseloads. We offer clinical case consultation, professional mentoring, highly competitive compensation, personalized marketing, established referral streams, continuing education opportunities, 401K with company matching, and many other outstanding benefits. Come join our Breyta family!
Competitive applicants should have experience and training in the use of evidence-based treatments, must be able to provide trauma-informed care, and must have demonstrated experience treating adult clients in an outpatient setting. Experience providing telehealth is a plus but not required. In particular, experience and interest in Third Wave Cognitive Behavioral approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Self-Compassion are valued.
We are searching for psychologists who are highly skilled in the provision of psychotherapy. Specifically, we are looking for a clinician who has a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral theory and therapy, and can provide trauma-informed, skills-based interventions to high functioning clients, but who can also attend to more process-based and relational aspects of therapy. In particular, we are interested in candidates with the ability to fully integrate biopsychosocial factors in contextual case conceptualization, and select transdiagnostic, evidence-based procedures for clinical intervention. We value strong case conceptualization skills and are looking for psychologists formulate cases within this therapeutic framework. While we are specialists in trauma, we are known for our clinical excellence in treating a wide range of general referrals. You will have plenty of variety to choose from when building your ideal caseload.
The psychologist will provide outpatient individual, couples, family, psychological evaluation, and/or group therapy to clients of Breyta Psychological Services, P.A. You can customize the blend of services you offer based on your preference and expertise.
Clinical experience working with trauma/PTSD, insomnia and sleep related disorders, anxiety, OCD, depression, family of origin issues, and/or couples preferred. Specific experience and training with trauma-based EBPs such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) or Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) are highly valued. Established skills in psychological testing and assessment are also appreciated, though this is not a requirement.
